ACLU-OK 2024 Advocacy Day

This legislative session, there are bills that are in direct opposition to the work we are all doing to create a more just Oklahoma. That is why the theme of our 2024 Advocacy Day is "Lobbying for Yourself." Our goal is to create a space where your organization can come and lobby on behalf of the bills that will impact the work that you do every day. Our event will provide a chance to learn about and lobby bills that we are tracking, including bills relating to increased sentencing and fines, juvenile justice, a Moratorium on executions in our state, and much more. Will you join us?

Oklahoma Connect Youth & Family Resource Fair

In partnership with the ODMHSAS Runaway and Homeless Youth Team, Oklahoma Commission on Children and Youth, Oklahoma Department of Health, as well as various youth-serving entities in Oklahoma City, we are organizing a community wide resource fair to commemorate National Homeless Youth Prevention and Awareness Month.

The main objective of this event is to connect youth, young adults, and families with children under 18 who are either experiencing homelessness or are at risk of becoming homeless. To achieve this, we will be offering an array of essential services and resources such as eviction prevention, healthcare, counseling, harm reduction, and legal aid, among others. Our goal is to prevent individuals from entering, staying, or returning to homelessness.
