Our goal is to provide a creative space for our clients or non-clients to be able to express themselves and to utilize a positive coping skill to deal with life circumstances.

Currently, classes are held on Thursday’s at 1:00pm. Classes are conducted in a 6-week cohort that rotates different mediums for clients to explore. For more information and sign-up, please contact your case manager and/or assigned staff member.

Calm Waters - Grief Support Classes

Calm Waters provided grief support classes for children and families throughout Central Oklahoma, serving as a safe place for those who have experienced a loss to receive grief resources, peer support, and hope for the future.

Time: Thursdays at 3:00pm

Digital Literacy: Cell Phone Skills Class

A class designed to gain skills utilizing cell phones.

Parenting Class

The Parenting Class is an 8-week course that focuses in-depth about familiar conflicts and teaches you parenting skills. Participants receive a certificate upon completion!

Time: Mondays at 2:00pm - weekly

Anger Management

We use SAMHSA's Anger Management for Substance Use Disorder and Mental Health Clients. It is a 12-week class. In this group, you will learn how to understand and control your anger by learning more about yourself and your anger in general. Participants are given a certificate upon completion.

Time: Wednesdays at 1:00 pm & 2:00pm - weekly

Positive Thinking

The Positive Thinking class focuses on methods and strategies for maintaining positive thinking and outcomes to improve overall efficacy.

Time: Fridays at 2:00pm & 3:00pm - weekly

STAND-Up Class

The STAND-UP initiative assists 18–24-year-old men in and out of custody with a peer support and mentorship-focused classes. The initiative aims to teach the participants to identify their trauma, manage their anger, and build healthy relationships to eliminate the possibility of re-engaging with the criminal legal system.

Dreams Court Peer Group

Hosted by peers within the Oklahoma County Treatment Courts that provides support and guidance navigating the treatment court systems and life needs.

Forklift Familiarization Class by Medley & Hyster-Yale

A class designed to enhance skills in operating a forklift and understanding how to utilize a forklift. Provides hands-on experience with an actual forklift and teaches the basics of forklift operation.

BIP Classes by Integrated Brain Health (IBH)

IBH’s Batterer’s Intervention Program is intended for individuals who exhibit domestic violence

behaviors. All referrals from the judicial system, DHS or self-referred are eligible for entry into

the program following assessment. IBH offers male and female groups. All classes will be

taught in the English language.

Classes are 52 weeks.

STAAR Foundation - Adult Pathway To Excellence Program

The STAAR Foundation - Adult Pathway to Excellence Program is designed to empower, grow, and succeed. The program focuses on building a supportive community and to gain skills, confidence, and resources to build a better future.
